It would be cool if there could be an option added to
the config file to enable a "laptop mode" for the
keyboard controls. I use a laptop, and since it
doesn't have a separate numeric keypad I can't use
the functions that require keypad keys (eg. prev/next
pattern with the +/- keys, or up/down octaves with *
and /). Could you add an option to remap the keypad
key functions to the non-keypad equivalents? Or to
any keys for that matter. My laptop does actually
have keypad emulation (turn on numlock and part of
the keyboard changes to work like a numeric keypad),
but for some reason this doesn't work within ztracker
(although the scroll-lock function does, which is
strange).

Hmm.. this is strange..
I have a Toshiba laptop, and same like yours, the keypad
only works when I press a button, and somewhere on the
keyboard they made the keypad.
Think almost every laptop does this. Although here it works
just fine.
As far as I understand its not emulated. Becuase my
windows install on my laptop just says standard keyboard.
And I've installed a clean win2k on it, not the shabby toshiba-
ready-made-win98.
I think you should check wheter the keypad thing works in
windows. Could be laptop problem. Otherwise there just
might be a little software problem.

Sorry, I forgot to mention the keypad function works fine in other
windows programs (and linux too). I also have a clean windows install
with no special drivers for the keyboard. Something else I forgot to
mention was that when I press scroll-lock in zt it works as it should,
but the indicator light on the keyboard doesn't light up. But if I quit
from zt with scroll-lock enabled, the LED will then light up (same for
numlock too, even though it doesnt work as it should under zt).
