I was wondering if it was possible to have something
like instrument grouping..

01 = piano
02 = strings
03 = 01 + 02 grouped..

Something like that..
So they play together and you only have to insert one
note in the pattern editor..
And ofcourse 01 and 02 are not grouped to you can use
them in your patterns as a single instrument.

Nice example would be when you want to make an
orchestra sound but the horns are always playing along
with the strings.. this way you dont have to insert
everything twice and everything is much more easier to
handle..
Especially when you want to add some effects..

Can think of a lot of stuff to do with grouped
instruments. Especially when you can group almost
unlimited amount of instruments.
And may-b with the future instrument effects editor
you can make some really interesting sounds with this.
Or some really kick-ass filter slide thingy to spice
up your trance song. :)

    Hmmm... why not just assign a same midi channel for the
    instruments you want to be played together? On the other
    hand, if this would be an actual ZT feature then you could
    also perhaps edit some parameters for the instruments...

    When I give the same channel only one of the two is going
    to be played by my keyboard..

    But about the parameters, thats exacly what I mean.. you
    can "make" new instruments.. and adding effects and stuff..
    and may-b some extra parameters for grouping and when the
    other instrument has to come up.. (just to think of
    something. :)
    But first things first.. lets wait for ZT2.. It is said ZT2
    is better made for future add-ons and stuff, so these ideas
    can be added later.. well.. at least more easily I
    believe. :)
