I don't mean to discourage you at all, but currently we do have a Java and C 
binding. We also use NIO already and i that complicated, so I'm not sure what 
Mina would give us.

We would really like other bindings! Personally I would like to see Perl and 
Python, but DotNet would be good too. The key thing for these bindings is a 
good serialization layer that supports all those languages to replace Jute.

There is some work that needs to be done to separate out the messaging layer 
to get an Atomic messaging interface, but it really has nothing to do with 
the build system.

I think for now we should focus on more near at hand problems until we run 
into issues with build. Currently Ant is more than adequate and we haven't 
had any issues yet. (I'm not saying we will not down the road, but it is 
better to pick a tool when you have a problem rather than risk picking the 
wrong tool before you've identified a problem.)
