I have a FREEWARE ICON Hiding Program it's called
Iconoid it can be downloaded... Along with it's SOURCE
CODE here http://www.sillysot.com/download.htm
having the source code should make it easier to debug
Im Running Under Windows 2000 SP2 (I haven't
installed it yet on my XP machine)
Iconoid Settings:
Icon BG Solid
Auto Resample ON
hide by Pointer position
1 Sec off desktop
20 seconds on
0 Second Delay
Start with windows
hide on start
Display Status bar
PROBLEM 1: Upon login both programs are started
ZMatrix appears to be working and so does Iconoid.
only every time the ICONOID hides the icons, Zmatrix
refreshes and starts over.
If I right Click Zmatrix in the tray and hit refresh it
appears to fix this problem BUT The Context menu for
the desktop FAILS.. Right Clicking the desktop will bring
up the Context menu for the last selected ITEM on the
screen.
PROBLEM 2: Upon Login both programs are started as
above. Rather than hitting refresh I CLOSE Zmatrix and
restart it. Doing this makes Zmatrix EAT the icons (it's
a cool effect but not an Ideal one, lol) By Right Clicking
Zmatrix in the tray and hitting refresh it fixes this BUT
once again the Context menu from the desktop FAILS
as above.
Suggestion: If you can, by using the source code from
ICONOID make them coexist it would be cool to see
when the icons HIDE the entire Screen is
Being "Zmatrixed" and then when the icons come back
then would Be ON TOP of the Zmatrix... and then the
context menu thing, You fixed that once before Im sure
you could do it again
P.S. Bad Ass Program
