[Zebedee-talk] first installation fails

after a struggle, I succeeded in installing Zebedee on my Linux RH9
server.

I want to speed transmission btw the Firebird server and clients.

=46ollowing the only instructions I could find, in=20

I issued the command

zebedee s localhost:3050

on the server

and

zebedee 3051:servernamehere:3050

on the client (an old PC w/ W95 )

According to the instructions above, I could now "connect to my
=46irebird Server using the connection string:

localhost/3051:PathToYourDataBase
"

well, nothing of the sort happens.=20

Instead, I get the error message

ISC ERROR CODE:335544721

ISC ERROR MESSAGE:
Unable to complete network request to host "localhost".
=46ailed to establish a connection.

I also tried

IP.ad.dre.ss/3051:/path/databaseName.gdb

and I get the same error.

What is wrong ?

I have tried the commands above with multiple firebird client tools.

How can I debug transmission btw client and server ?
