#172 How to activate DEBUG_LEVEL

Im trying to activate the debug mode, such that the dbprinf's will output, but so far i have been less than succesfull in doing so.
I have tried to define debug level and debug decoder and various other things.
I should say im still fairly new to C/C++.
What i really want with the debug mode is actually to get an idea of what happens in the decoder module, in hopes of being able to feed it a stream of bar widths, rather than feeding a picture to the scanner.
