#153 Scanning a specific barcode, zbar frequently misreads the

Using an iPhone to scan barcodes, I noticed that a certain barcode is quite often misread.
The code is EAN-13 and should read 4005632281786. However, especially when scanned from a distance, the result is sometimes 5007642281786. Notice the difference in the first 6 digits.

This can be reproduced using an iPhone 5s and the app "ZBar" from the Apple App Store.
It does not reproduce using a competing app and SDK product "Scandit", which is not open source but payware.
An image of both barcodes is attached to this request for comparison.

Is there anything I can do to increase the reliability of the scanned result?
