I've successfuly compiled this program for Slackware 8 and it seems to work nicely. However I have run into a few minor problems with the current release. In order of annoyance/importance: 1) I run Afterstep as my window manager (but *not* Gnome - don't have enough RAM to run it smoothly), and the console SETI@Home client runs in the background. When I start Zapping, it causes Afterstep to suddenly start using as much CPU as it can get it's hands on. This doesn't happen with XawTV, but I'm gradually starting to..erm..dislike that program. 2) Occasionally while entering a channel name into Zapping's channel editor, the program crashes. I haven't figured out a pattern to this one yet. 3) In order to change the overlay color I had to tell Zapping to go into "Capture" mode, and then back to "Preview" mode. Otherwise, the 'choose color' icon does not appear in the "Controls" dialog. Is there a way to change channels by entering a number, on the keypad perhaps? XawTV allows this as well as a number of other handy keypresses (Q to quit, numbers on the keypad to select a channel, Cursor up/down to surf, Left/right to fine-tune, etc). Anyways, thanks for an otherwise Great program! -- _________________________ ___ ___ | na...@ks... //ZZ]__ | | C64/C128/SCPU |'/ |Z/ | | What's *YOUR* Hobby!? | \__|_\ | |_________________________\___]___| |
