1. Abstract

ZanyonLocker™ is a proprietary encryption utility developed by the Raiden Corporation. It is designed to provide high-level data privacy through the implementation of the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES-256). The software serves as a localized security solution for data-at-rest protection.

2. Technical Architecture

ZanyonLocker™ operates as a standalone executable environment. It is engineered to perform block-level encryption on files, appending the .zanyon file extension to processed data.

Encryption Standard: AES-256 (256-bit symmetric key).
Target Platform: Windows x64 (10/11).
Operating Model: Localized/Offline (No cloud-based key storage).

3. Security Design & Philosophy

The security model of ZanyonLocker™ is built on the principle of User-Controlled Sovereignty. By avoiding external dependencies and cloud synchronization, the tool ensures that the Master Key and the encrypted data never leave the local environment.

3.1 Trust Infrastructure

Because ZanyonLocker™ utilizes self-signed certification, it is categorized as an "Unsigned Application" by the Windows operating system. This is a deliberate design choice by the Raiden Corporation to avoid the gatekeeping of commercial Certificate Authorities.

4. Hardware Compatibility

The utility is optimized for x64 architecture. Performance scales with available system resources; while the minimum requirement is an Intel i3 processor with 4GB of RAM, the system's encryption throughput is directly proportional to CPU cycle availability and storage bus speed.

5. Ethical & Legal Boundaries

ZanyonLocker™ is categorized as a security privacy utility. Its development is governed by the following constraints:

Intended Use: Personal data protection and privacy management.
Prohibited Use: Malicious exploitation, unauthorized system access, or activities contravening the CC BY-ND 4.0 license.
Liability: Software is provided "as-is." Raiden Corporation assumes no liability for data loss resulting from user error or loss of the Master Key.

I know, I know, this sounds crazy, but yes—ZanyonLocker™ is a competitor to 7-Zip. Both 7-Zip and ZanyonLocker™ are able to encrypt files, but here's the part where it becomes a competitor: Microsoft added a feature that you can decrypt/decompress 7-Zip .7z files without having the 7-Zip software installed. I want ZanyonLocker™ to gain popularity and then maybe Microsoft will add a feature in Windows 11 to "Encrypt/Decrypt with ZanyonLocker™" feature in the right-click context menu for .zanyon files without you needing to have ZanyonLocker™ installed.
