Nearly all replys to a message from the list 'want' to go back to the list. The authors of that FAQ assume that you really want to just talk to the sender of the message and that's it - which is of course wrong. (It is right in some mailing lists, but not this one.) Then they bring out the straw-man argument about the embarrasment of sending a message to the whole list when you really wanted to reply to just the sender... I've lost track of how many times I've accidentally sent to just the originator instead of the list by mistake here... and it really is annoying. Steven |
