Zanata is a web-based translation platform for translators, content creators and developers to manage localisation projects.
It is written in Java and uses modern web technologies like JBoss, Seam, GWT, Hibernate. It exposes a REST API and Jenkins plugin for external integration.
Translators can just use web browsers to translate from any computer with an Internet connection. Zanata also support translation memory that shows history of similar translations to reuse.
Software developers can upload their projects to Zanata from maven, command line, and web UI. Currently supported formats are: Gettext PO files, Java Properties, XLIFF, Qt Linguist, Mozilla DTD, JSON.
Documents can be translated as well. Current supported formats are: HTML, subtitles, InDesign Markup Language, Publican DocBook, LibreOffice and plaintext.
