#4 Authentication problem when connecting to news servers

I couldn't connect to Teranews and Megabitz with Yenc32 1.0.8.208. A problem occurs during authentication, and if I simply check the box "My server requires me to login" and leave the password and login blank, Yenc32 doesn't prompt me, I simply keep getting the same error message.
This happens when I fill in my password and login in Preferences>Posting and then click on "Add" in Preferences>Newsgroups.

I activated debug log generation, I'm attaching a text file containing logs of several sessions. The first two copies show error messages when I try to connect to respectively Teranews and Megabitz, the third one shows a authentication that worked with a local server (Hamster Classic (Vr. 2.1 (Build 2.1.0.11))), the following one shows a flawless connection to my ISP's text-only news server which doesn't require authentication. The last one shows that posting works fine with Yenc32 and the same Hamster as the local server. (Note that I deleted C:\Program Files\Yenc32\ngcache.txt after each working session to clear and reload the newsgroup list).

Also, I could connect to Teranews and Megabitz using Mozilla Thunderbird (and BNR2, amongst other newsreaders) so it looks like the problem is indeed with Yenc32.

PS: I've just tried with Yenc32 1.0.7.207 and both Teranews and Megabitz return the same error.

There's something weird with this bug: I established a telnet connection on port 119 with respectively my local Hamster server, teranews & megabitz (e.g. C:\>telnet free.teranews.com 119). All three accepted authinfo user my_login and then authinfo pass my_password commands, everything was done using 7bit ascii characters so I don't see why yenc32 fails to authenticate with teranews and megabitz (and probably with others, if someone could test).

I'm attaching 7zipped logs of these connections (with Hamster server's logs as well) in case they would be useful in some way. Also, the exact error message I'm getting with Yenc32 is "Error connecting to news server: user Name|pass Password".
