Click with the right button of your mouse on a file, then choose yEncode with yEnc32. You should get a window displaying "Could not execute yEnc32 to encode this file" (cf. attached screenshot). When you click on a file with the right button of your mouse and choose YDecode with yEnc32 a very similar window appears and tells: "Could not execute yEnc32 to decode this file".

Tested with yEnc32 v1.0.8 under Windows XP SP 2. Enough RAM, hard disk space and a fast enough CPU (think so, with an AMD 64 X2 :)
The installation was done using the default settings, all options were checked (yEnc 32 (required), Start menu Shorcuts, Right-Click Shell Integration).

Reproducibility: always.

FYI, I had the opportunity to test this under Windows Millennium and the same problem occurs. Using yEnc32 v1.0.8, it's impossible to yEncode or to yDecode a file via the contextual menu obtained with a click on the right button of the mouse. (The installation was done using the default settings, all options were checked (yEnc 32 (required), Start menu Shortcuts, Right-Click Shell Integration)).

I've had the same problem, and I appear to have the same setup as this poster. I just upgraded to 1.0.8. This update came out in May, but the bug report only came out a week ago in October. I can't believe that the bug has lain dormant all these months. Right-click menus in 1.0.7 still work, though. I've checked the source, where it tries to execute Yenc32; I didn't notice any material change between 1.0.7 and 1.0.8.

Yenc 1.0.8 context encode and decode fail from Windows XP 2002 Pro, SP3, running on an HP Compaq Pentium 4, 3.6GHz dual core, with 1GB of RAM.
