In 10.10, wands are still not being counted as Inventory. The attached character only has a wand, but it is not counted in his inventory on the Back tab or for total equipment cost in the Equipment tab.
Also, the Inventory on the Back tab has extra data listed that doesn't relate to anything from the Equipment tab. See attached picture.
