YAPCG 8.174

YAPCG users:

I have uploaded version 8.174 of YAPCG. https://sourceforge.net/projects/yapcg/

In this version I've added in resonant powers for ioun stones. Ioun stones now have "Wayfinder" as an available location - if you select this, its resonant powers will be activated. The resonant powers use the rules where the power depends on the type of ioun stone - stones that don't have a resonant power won't do anything. Also note that you can currently only one resonant power can be active at a time. Now, I believe there are wayfinders with multiple slots, so I'll be able to add in multiple resonant powers at a later date if no problems turn up now.
I've also updated the filter on the Wondrous Item and moved the ioun stones into their own category.... read more

I was travelling for most of the last couple of weeks, so there's nothing exciting new in this release. I've added in the VMC Magus from Pathfinder Unchained, and from Inner Sea Gods (and Faiths), I've input the obedience data and basic bonus for the remaining gods. I've also done the first boon (the choice of spell-like ability) for each of the three deific obedience classes. So I've still got the second and third boons to do, I'm thinking they should be done for the next release.... read more

YAPCG 8.172

YAPCG users:

YAPCG version 8.172 is available for download.

Couple of new things in this release. Firstly, descriptions for unique weapons and special weapon abilities will now be listed in the back pages. Descriptions for a lot of the existing items still need to be unshrunk, and probably be going through those slowly, so let me know if there's any you want done sooner.

Second new thing is that you can now turn on conditional modifiers to include their bonuses in the calculations. So, for example, if you never go anywhere without your masterwork thieves' tools, or if you're always got two weapons out for Two Weapon Defense, or if you're a Ranger who's always in your favored terrain, then you can select the appropriate entries on the Conditional Modifiers page to bump up your Disable Device, AC or Initiative.
It's currently set up for skills, AC, saves and Initiative. I'm working on Attack and Damage, which are slightly tricker as they often can apply just to specific weapons, or only to ranged attacks, etc. ... read more

YAPCG 8.171

YAPCG users:

Version 8.171 of YAPCG is available for download.

One thing to note with this release is that I've updated how the Feats page gets calculated. There are a couple of feat selections that were on the Feats page, but are more appropriate on the Class Options page.
The following characters will be affected
-> Rogue Talent/Ninja Trick: Combat Trick (also Archeologist Bard, White-haired witch)
-> Advanced Ninja Trick: Feat
-> Rune domain under PFS rules (Spell Focus replaces Scribe Scroll)
-> Internal Alchemist / Mind Chemist (feats are now selectable under discoveries)
If you load in one of these types of characters, everything will still calculate correctly. When you need to level up, you may need to make some adjustments, but it should be straightfoward: delete the feat on the Feats page and reselect it on Class Options. Move all your other feats up one row to fil the blank (or just move the bottom one) ... read more

This version has a few back-end improvements. Firstly, I've redone how Ability and Saves bonuses are calculated - it takes slightly less space and it's now much more convenient for me to add new effects. There are some minor adjustments to the "Ability Calculation" and "Saves Calculation" sheets, and this also fixed up a bug or two.... read more

Version 8.169 released

Version 8.169 is available for download. https://sourceforge.net/projects/yapcg/

In this version, I've updated the Deity dropdowns with all the gods from Inner Sea Gods. I've also updated the domain selection so that subdomains are now restricted by god. There is also an option to ignore just this part, if you wish.

I've added in names and prerequisites for feats from ISG - I've also done descriptions and effects for a lot of them, but some of them still need to be finished properly (i.e. you can select them, but they won't have any effect yet)... read more

8.168b Released

YAPCG users:

Version 8.168b is available for download.

The main new addition in this release is the ability to apply multiple feats to an attack slot.
Each attack slot now has space to add 3 feats. These feats will apply to both the main hand attack and off-hand attack, if appropriate. (If you are importing a character from an earlier version, the old off-hand feat will appear in the second slot)
I've had to do some work on the backend to make sure that bonuses only get applied if the attack is the right sort - e.g. Power Attack won't work if you are using a bow; or if you are using a sword and a bite, natural weapon boost will only apply to the bite. - it's possible that I've missed something, or that a feat combination doesn't behave properly - please let me know if you spot anything that looks wrong or weird.... read more

8.167 Released

It contains the traits for the Ironfang Invasion and Ruins of Azland adventure paths, some initial work on Inner Sea Gods (traits and subdomains that were already in are now also linked to the ISG source), and the variant multiclass cleric

Version 8.166 is available for download. This release finished off Advanced Class Origins. The next smaller source I'll be adding is Inner Sea Gods, so check out the thread in the Discussion Forums if there are specific requests you want to make.

For Unchained, I've filled in the additional Combat Stamina feats (Extra Stamina and Push the Limits) I've also done the basic set-up for variant multiclassing - if you want the secondary class you'll be able to do that on the Levels page. I've only done the Barbarian and Bard VMC so far, but the others will be coming.... read more

Version 8.164 Released

8.164 is available for download.

New stuff in this version are the Lepidstadt Inspector archetype from Advanced Class Origins, and Combat Tricks from Pathfinder Unchained. There is an option to choose who gets the Combat Stamina feat, and Combat Tricks for a given feat will be listed after it.

Status Report

Hello all,

Things have been a little slow recently.

In the short term that's because I'm currently in a different city due to the holidays.

In the longer term it's because my daughter is now at the age where she's crawling about everywhere, and she's now pulling herself up on stuff, so she needs constant vigilance to stop her from eating stuff, destroying stuff, falling down steps, etc. She is pretty cute though.... read more

Version 8.153 Announcement and Release Notes

Version 8.153 is available for download. So was 8.512 but I think maybe I forgot to hit save on the blog post.

In 8.152 Harrow Handbook is finished (haven't done the Backgrounds for them, I will if someone asks for it) Next minor source is Advanced Class Origins. Also UC barb rage powers are in.

Just bugfixes for 8.153 - currently working on UC Monk, but nothing to report yet.
