Hello all (for Steve) I have read your announcement at YAML-core. I'd greatly appreciate if you resent me the new version (attachments do not seem directly accesible via geocrawler. I am subscribing to the list right now, in order not to bother you again with these things and follow more closely development). I copy my suggestion (I mailed it to Steve via private mail) > I have a suggestion to make. Now you use a pointer-like > syntax for the links: what about mimifying an arrow > through "->"?. It would be, perhaps, more readable > and/or intuitive for the casual reader. It's all about usability for the non hackers. I asked a few days ago about YAML as a wiki language. Well, the mixed content is necessary, as Clark pointed out. But I am going to find an utility to YAML after all ;)!. We have an electronic library project. We want to associate meta-data to our documents, but need to do it in a format-independent fashion. We were thinking of using XML, but now (and especially with the python parser advancements) we have decided to give a try at YAML. I enclose a copy of a prototype file, just for you to see. If it's valid/correct you could think about using it as a lengthy example for the examples section. It's very rudimentary, I know, and we don't still know how to use most of the features, so please, any comments will be most welcome. Well, that's it all for today, cheers, álvaro ---YAML:1.0 document: title:Ecuaciones diferenciales ordinarias short: EDO language: es publisher: alqua base_url: http://www.alqua.com/fdl license: GNU GFDL 1.2 thanks: \ Agradecemos su trabajo a Lorenzo Abellanas Rapún, por intentarlo todo. authors: - name: &ATC Álvaro Tejero Cantero mailto: al...@an... http: alqua.com/alvaro - name: &PRM Pablo Ruiz Múzquiz mailto: pab...@gn... http: eutherpe.org subject: udc: 517.91 keywords: - ecuaciones diferenciales ordinarias - sistemas dinámicos - mapas de fases - funciones especiales - desarrollos en serie de potencias description: \ Contiene un curso clásico de introducción a las ecuaciones diferenciales ordinarias, aportando métodos de solución para sistemas lineales y métodos cualitativos para sistemas no lineales.
