The new YAML.pm is a framework for plugin modules. Eventually there will be several loaders and dumpers. Some will support unicode and some may not. At least one pair will wrap libyaml, libsyck etc. > 2) Is there a rough timetable for libyaml development? Will the first public > release be available within a few weeks/months? But I can say I would be surprised if there was solid unicode solution before 6 months from now.
