The development of YACSF, a complete refactoring of the client server framework YACSF, has begun. The first alpha will probably be available in july.

YACSF is a client server framework with a nice webstart client and a layered architecture. It is designed for managing a web (HTML) user frontend, for example a news-website, with the admin GUI client.

The example application is a small content management system with a webstart admin frontend and a web user frontend. It uses a in-memory datamodel as backend and has been released as a zip that should be unzipped into the webapps directory of the web app server. A detailed installation guide can be found on the project homepage.

The first version of the project homepage is online now at
http://yacsf.sourceforge.net . It includes some screenshots, a basic architecture diagramm and a short roadmap.

The unit tests that were broken, because a lot of package names changed, have been fixed.
