The synchronization issue for playback is covered by
MediaServer:4 and MediaRenderer:3 (http://upnp.org/specs/av/av4/). We should implement them in yaacc.

I would LOVE to see this working - finally we would get open source Sonos/Airplay like multi room capabilities (As good as it is, I have been holding off buying Sonos because I dont want their proprietary stuff...)

initially implemented version 3 of upnp av transport spec. It is now possible to start an item at a specific representation time. Take a look at the settings of yaacc. At the moment the feature is only tested with the yaacc renderer. Maybe it also possible to use other upnp renderer which implement the spec in version 3. I'm not knowing any yet.
