    Mattias,
I use YAT to record serial data between two devices, so I have COM5, COM6 open. Is there away to append the comport name to the log file, the files seem to have the same name the only difference being the create / update time in the filename.
Apologies if this has already been asked!
    Regards
    Rob Carter

      Hi Rob,

This indeed is an issue! And has never been asked so far. The solution is pretty simple, I have created FR#487 for the upcoming YAT 2.7.0 release. Either, one will be able to include the I/O device in the file or folder name, or the terminal name.

      Best regards,
      Matthias

        FR#487 implemented.

Just want to add, in YAST 2.7.2 the error is still present.
Instead of naming each terminal log file by COM port it uses only some COM port names.
In the attached image, files should be named COM1...COM10.

Hi, not getting it, all files do contain a port in the file name. What is the expected relation among the file names and "COM1...COM10"?

If it's a bug in the port name selection, e.g. the "wrong" port name is taken as file name, or the file name doesn't change if the port changes, please file a bug describing the actual and expected behavior in reproducible detail.
