The YAT installer can no longer be used to install on Windows XP.

(YAT uses the Visual Studio Installer (VSI). That uses Windows Installer 4.5. That requires IIS 6. But Windows XP only supports up to IIS 5.1 and cannot be upgraded. Dead lock...)

But there are two possible ways to come around this issue:

    a) Download a binary distribution of YAT and then proceed according to the contained 'ReadMe.txt'.
    b) First, download and install YAT 1.99.30 (which is the last distribution using Windows Installer 3.1, thus working on Windows XP). Then, replace the binaries in "C:\Program Files\YAT" by the files contained in the latest binary distribution.

YAT 2.4.0 uses .NET 4.8 which is not available on Windows XP.
YAT 2.1.0 is intended to be the last version compatible with Windows XP.

Versions 2.2 and 2.3 have been skipped to keep the option to release the set of features of YAT 2.4.0 (except plotting) on .NET 2.0 Runtime / .NET 3.5 Framework. However, there must be really good reasons for going that extra mile.
