Ok, I tried a fresh install on a different xymon server (32 bit so I had to use the 32 bit version of the SDK) Again CentOS 6.5. Same problems. I then tried on a third xymon server running CenTOS 5.10 and perl 5.8. Same issues. I get the CPU disk, msgs and procs columns but not the really good ones, the SDD snapshot or vmware ones.

Upgraded ESXI and Perl SDK. Now nothing works
Sorry to hear that... Can you tell me the exact versions involved, both ESXi version and build ID as well as VIPerl version?
Having gone over my own setup I have this package installed -> VMware-vSphere-Perl-SDK-5.5.0-1384587.x86_64 On a Ubuntu 12.04 Server.
Works fine
Same version of the SDK (on CentOS 6.5). ESXI version 5.5.0, 1331820

One thing I see in the log is right after the entry for "Polling {ESXI Host}" i see the line "SOAP request error- possibly a protocol issue"
