haven't been able to successfully run xvidcap on Solaris for a long
time :(


the pango error is (probably) harmless, while the BadAccess may be the
same as described for bug #1710814 on FreeBSD. Could you recreate the
error and run:

xdpyinfo -queryExt

And run that again with shm disabled in the preferences.
