Dear XuvTools Users and Developers,

while the year is nearing its end, and the first snow glitters
on the fields, the new XuvTools 1.8.0 release provides a great
excuse to stay inside with hot chocolate and some stitching!

XuvTools 1.8.0 is now available, and brings many improvements and
changes. Foremost, it is the first release that features the new
LOCI Bio-Formats based file reader. You can fetch the release as
usually from:
   http://xuvtools.org/download

But there is more! This mailing list will be terminated, in favor
of our new mailing lists at SourceForge. In the next days you will
receive an invitation to join the new mailing list. Details can

 - Completely rewritten file readers and writers
 - First LOCI Bio-Formats based file reader
 - Updated Dmitry Fedorov's BioImage based file reader
 - Support for stage coordinates in Zeiss LSM and Andor TIFF
 - Quick-Open functionality for Bitplane Imaris
 - Advanced Installer for Windows
 - Updated XuvTools license (see http://xuvtools.org/license)
 - Fixed several issues and problems, including a major bug in
   the beta series
