I have just installed CD-DA X-Tractor on my second PC, but it does not work.
Instead the message "Unable to allocate default CD
drive" is shown.
When entering the CD options-dialog no CD drive is
shown/selectable.
I am running Win XP SP 2. The same CD drive works on my other PC
What's wrong???

I just downloaded this program and had the same problem on WinXP SP2. Here is the solution:
Right click on the executable or a link to it (i.e. in the start menu).
Select the "Compatibility" Tab.
Under Compatibility Mode, select the check box and pick Windows 2000. (I would imagine the other Windows would work as well, but I tried 2000 first and it works fine).
Restart the program and it should find your CD drive.
