If you do a fresh install of the X-Trace backend, and try to invoke the report viewer applet, you will get the error message:
Can't locate DBI.pm in @INC
if your Perl environment is not setup properly.
This bug is known to appear on stock installs of Ubuntu. On ubuntu, you can type 'apt-get install libdbi-perl'
We should put this in a list of dependencies that X-Trace has on its environment.
please note that graphviz (conatining 'dot') is also not included in the standard install of ubuntu - As well as the ruby interpreter.
Also note that the file webui/cgi-bin/graph.rb contains a hardcoded path to dot, /sw/bin/dot, which would be /usr/bin/dot on most distributions
