I use Plasma 6.3 and X11. I see snow on top of the windows. When a window is closed, the snow spreads. Well, this works mostly for GTK apps and for many QT, but not always and not for all.
Anyway, when moving a window, the snow has a heavy delay before moving with the window.
I understand the challenge of windows detection.

However, I'd love to have the options to spread the snow when the window is moved or when the window is minimized too. I think this is natural, that would happen moving or shaking a real object.

Since version 3.7.9, moving a window spreads the fallen snow.
Can you try to download and install the latest (3.8.3) version and tell me if it works for you?

Sure, it may take a while, though.
I am rolling a Gentoo derivative, MocaccinoOS.
I'll let you know when it is available. Now, there are 3.7.5 as stable and
      3.8.1 as unstable.

      Regards.

Hi, I have build 3.8.1, now when moving and minimizing it spreads the snow.
        Look much much better!
        :)
