made write/1 to use %1.16g *the right way*
instead of 2.4f

fixed a type in the format

generalize cvt_float_to_str to cvt_float_to_str_with_fmt. Use the latter in print_pterm but not in write_canonical

Change format back to 1.17g, since this is used by write_canonical,
and by number_codes (which should preserve number values.)

Should have included this with trie_internals commit.
Call specific optimize that includes internstr test.

Made slightly more resilient.

Added dllexport declarations where missing (and needed for windows.)

Fixed bug I just introduced. It was needed for variant_answer search.

changed the format for %S (floats) from %#1.16g to %1.16g.
There is a code to always add .0, if needed, so # is not necessary.
And it has a side-effect of leaving too many trailing 0s.

I think the format for write/ln should be changed to %1.6g with the same trick of adding .0 whenever necessary.

write_canonical should stay as is: not clear how to improve it.
