Hi Prasad,

You can put a line like 

(setq prolog-program-name "~/XSB/bin/xsb")

in your .emacs file.

Then you can start a Prolog process by typing in M-x run-prolog.  Some
Prolog modes provide other commands like prolog-consult-buffer (or
prolog-consult-region, prolog-consult-predicate) to send the current
buffer (region, the predicate around the current point) to a prolog
process.  A new process will be started if no Prolog process exists.
