Initial Comment:
To be able to compile the actual CVS version of the XSB
(perlmatch package) with Perl 5.6.0 I wrote the
appended patch file.

But use the patch only for this Perl version. Other
versions might deny compilation after applying the patch!
The patched files are:
- XSB/packages/perlmatch/cc/perlpattern.c
- XSB/packages/perlmatch/cc/xsbpattern.c
