Well, I am back. Since Neverwinter Nights for linux was released I had been playing it like a mad fool...
Conclusion?
It has its good points and its bad points. Definatly still reason to continue programming xrpg however.
(And I won't be programming just another Neverwinter Nights either, although some ideas are very nice.)
Second News Item:
I have started programming the toolkit for xrpg. Learning some gtk, gets my head out of OpenGL coding for a bit, and will hopefully give the other developers something to do if I finish it.
Hehe, well, as of late last night I have a semi-functional .ASC model viewer...
I probably wont make a release of it until it is better though, at least till it is semi useful, anyways.
its in CVS though, just make mdlview
Um. So the weekly news was a joke. We are still working however. I have started coding a model loader which will serve as technology demos for xrpg.

This week we have gotten a considerable amount done.
Jacob has done some beautiful 2d graphics, the opening splash screen, and a main menu screen. I have gotten some audio code implimented, allowing .ogg music files to be played. This next week we will continue to optimize what we have done and add more features.
Well, we are getting settled into our new home that sf.net so graciously provided...
We hope to preduce something pretty fun here...
