#159 some interface improvements
Hi,
1. Just to ask if it's possible to have a better interface.
it's designed for a display resolution of 1024*768.
but it should be better to have it designed for 800*600.
When using with this default resolution ( all computers
use a 15'' monitor),
all forms are not displayed well.
I suggest to use :
- fixed size (no resize for tables, div, ....)
- smaller fonts
- icons.
2. in companies search form, add the city column to the
pager.
3. when adding a new participant for an activity, users
should be able to :
filter the contacts by its company.
ex : the representant was in a meeting with a client.
he talked with the director, the purchasing officer, ...
to check the availability of the persons.
ex : a demonstration is planned and some staff are
required to participate.
Before planning it, user can be able to see whether all
participants are available for the time.

1. Your item # 1 can be dealt with completely by the CSS
stylesheet 'themes'. I suggest that you create a new theme,
and we will be happy to include it with XRMS.
2. We're currently working on adding all the advanced search
columns as optional columns to the pager, so that any field
you can search on could be included in the pager if the user
wants to. This will be done before the end of the month.
3. I believe that you're suggesting that we add a company
search to the add participant process, so that a user could
search by either company or by contact name. If the user
searches by company, we could give them a select list of the
contacts at that company. Correct?
(4.) Checking availability:
We have some code in the calendar code for setting up
meetings, including checking availability. We'd love to
spend more time on it, but it isn't a really high priority
for us right now to get it working. I expect we'll have it
done before the end of the year, but I'm not sure when
exactly we'll be able to work on it again.
