It would be great if in paper the lines could match where the default text goes. Otherwise, hard to use it.
Or have convenient what font does fit.
I wish sans regular 12 fit the graph paper.
Maybe make the lined paper conform to same, or to 12.
This is on the to-do list, but it's not very easy to do, and not highest-priority given that xournal is primarily meant for handwritten note-taking and PDF annotation.
One difficulty is that, with standard text rendering methods, text spacing is not guaranteed to be the same on screen vs. on printouts, nor even to remain the same upon zooming. So any fit will have to be approximate, not strictly exact.
In the meantime, Sans 12 is still very close to fitting the graph paper, but if the very small shift disturbs you, you could consider using plain paper instead...
