Add an option and toolbar button to clear the current page.

The "Journal" menu already contains a "Delete layer" entry, which removes the current layer from the current page, and creates a new blank layer if this was the only layer. So unless you're actively using multiple layers this does exactly what you want.

I'm not too keen on a toolbar button, because it's too easy to make a manipulation error.

Let me know if this is satisfactory. (If it is, I'll close this request item).

I would like to have a configuration option that will have "New Page" either duplicate the page background (the default, current behavior) or make a BLANK background on the new page (my preferred behavior). I would then use Xournal to work with lecture notes in a PDF file, either to annotate the material on a particular page (highlight, etc.) or to provide additional written examples on a new, blank page that follows the current page. In the current setup, if I add a "New Page" after the current page, there's no real estate to write on!

I think it would be easy to add this option. Please consider it.

It may be that the poster of the "clear the current page" feature request wanted to be able to clear the current page INCLUDING THE BACKGROUND. If so, a "New Page" (using the current behavior) followed by a "Clear Page" (the proposer's suggestion) would be a two-step version of what I am requesting.
