Is there any possibility to merge two xournal files, without creating pdf's and merging those?
If not, then it would be usefull to have this possibility.
If the xournal files don't annotate PDFs (or only one does), then it's
very easy: cat file1.xoj file2.xoj > newfile.xoj
If both annotate PDFs it's impossible to combine them as xoj's as for
technical reasons a xoj file can only reference one pdf file at most, so
one would need to create pdf's and merge them as you suggest.

I have the same problem: I need either to load multiple pdf-s into xoj, or to merge pdf-containing xoj files into one.
