Not sure whether this is not already there in some form.
I want to give lectures with xournal and looking for a two-screen set-up, the projector screen shows the slides and all annotations inside those slides.
The second screen (laptop, tablet) depicts the slides for annotation and the toolbars. Furthermore, it can be switched to a overview mode to see the next and previous slide as well as other infos e.g. a timer, slide-number, etc.
If you want to get an idea check out pdfpc[1] which does exactly the above minus the feature xournal is offering. What I would love is a merge of this two programs.
