Sorry to hear this. The Windows version is not as well supported as the linux version, due to my lack of familiarity with Windows, and I'm also not familiar at all with Gaomon tablets so don't know how they work internally... hence it might not be possible for me to resolve this.

Nonetheless: in the Options menu, is the first entry "Use XInput" grayed (disabled)? or if it is enabled, do the crashes happen both when it is selected and when it is deselected? When it is disabled or deselected, Xournal doesn't try to get specific information from the tablet driver and just handles the pen input like any other input device (mouse, touchpad, etc.) so writing quality is not as good but things shouldn't crash (unless perhaps the tablet sends completely nonsensical coordinate information and Windows doesn't filter it out). If it's enabled, then how well xournal deals with it depends on whether the tablet driver is sending sensible information and there still shouldn't be crashes, but there's more ways in which I can imagine things failing somehow if the tablet driver doesn't behave in the way expected.

    Denis

Update: Oh dear, it still crashes afer a while. But I'll try some more

I'm very sorry to hear this. I'd suggest trying to see if there is an
update to the tablet drivers, or something of the sort -- but failing
all else, you could also look at Xournalpp which is a spin-off that got
rewritten from scratch on different technical foundations.

Not sure if it works on your system but it's worth a try... (alas the
stated list of OS compatibilities says Windows 10, so I have no idea if
        it works on Windows 7).

        Sincerely,
        Denis Auroux

I don't know why, but now it seems to run just fine. I think this ticket can be closed. Thanks again! - Peter

      Dear Denis,

I disabled "Use XInput" and now it works! Many thanks for that! Now I
will hopefully enjoy your good looking program. Thank you very much for
      your quick reply!

      With kind regards
      Peter
