TAO 1.4 (beta, or later releases) is supported by latest xots release 0.9x.

the sourceforge download manager statistics module is broken. therefore the lates releases will appear with download counter constantly 0

the xots alpha_06 release now includes support for Berkeley DB (as of version 4.0.14). there is also a very basic demo, that shows basic workings of the xa adapter.
there is a patch for Berkeley DB included, i.e. you must install the source and apply the patch before you can play around with xots ...
