Happens every time. Using OS 10.2 Xnap version 2.4 pre 3 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Date: 2003-04-27 07:06 Message: Logged In: NO I've found that usually it's because there are messages ready in the Chat section. You can sometimes see a checkbox from that section, if you move your mouse pointer to the right place in the transfer section. I can usually escape the freeze by clicking on the "transfers" tab, but NO WHERE else. Trying to click on a downloading item usually crashes Xnap. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Gordon Mackenzie (gmackenz) Date: 2003-03-18 12:30 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=461685 Not sluggish at all...You can leave the GUI alone, minimized, or up as a window and then after about 24 hours you'll find that you can click on a tab and you won't get a refresh of the GUI showing the new tab. Only thing you can do at this point is either minimize and then un-minimize the window and you *may* get the updated information/tabbed window (or not). I get a little success by moving other application windows in front of the XNAP GUI window or across it (like wiping! Wipe On, Wipe Off!) so I can see some of the now current window status. But it's less effective hours later. I do see the spinning ball cursor when the Xnap GUI is the focus at this point. This is the only major drawback to using the application, everything else works the best of all the file-sharing applications of the Mac OS X world. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Date: 2003-03-18 06:27 Message: Logged In: NO I experienced the same. Using Windows XP Pro-SP1 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Gordon Mackenzie (gmackenz) Date: 2003-03-08 18:20 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=461685 XNAP 2.5 pre 5 OS X 10.2.4 Java 1.4 pre (from Apple) Same problem, GUI stops responding after 24 hours of use. Current downloading still works, but no new downloads will occur, and number of active/connected servers will slowly drop to 0 over the next 24 hours. Unable to change from OpenNap tab to Transfers or another tab and regain functionality. Have to force-quit. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: C. Posey (cposey) Date: 2003-02-24 15:35 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=425081 Freeze everytime I try to start xnap. I should have known - java-based. Never once have I used a java-based app that actually was reliable. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Date: 2003-02-15 05:36 Message: Logged In: NO Maybe i'm talking of another bug, but it indeed sometimes changes to the chat tab without refreshing the window what means you're seeing the search tab, but are actually in the chat tab. just click on another tab to get things back to normal ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: heavy_baby (heavy_baby) Date: 2003-01-29 09:15 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=644681 Me too. GUI freezes. It can resize or minimize or maimize window with no redraw. File Transfer still works. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Steffen Pingel (squig) Date: 2003-01-08 09:38 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=165597 Does it happen when interacting with the GUI? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Yven Johannes Leist (leist) Date: 2003-01-07 10:17 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=214522 Is it just sluggish or no longer usable at all? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=109285&aid=658337&group_id=9285 |
