Believe me, I *hate* to betray my ignorance. I've searched and searched for an answer to the question, but haven't found it. So, I must ask: once I've downloaded, and extracted the various Plugpacks, what do I do then? Is there an actual install process? How do I make the plugins available to XMMS? I've attempted to simply insert the various *.so files to XMMS directories, but the plugins don't appear in preferences. I am running FreeBSD 4.9.
Thanks loads!

Not much to be done for FreeBSD I'm afraid, in fact there is not much to be done for all Distros but Slackware and (possibly) SuSE with these packs. All binaries are precompiled (which means they might or might not work), conflict with existing XMMS installations, and explicitly want KDE being installed on /opt...
I visited the site to see which plugins are included in the packages, but I could not find a single line of documentation.
