It could be caused by changes in the later versions of MediaInfo. You could try to install an older version of MediaInfo. You can choose to not use the MediaInfo lib when choosing the file to at least have the file path imported.

Hi,
When trying to import movie files the following message is displayed.
The MediaInfo library could not be found. Please go to http://mediainfo.sourceforge.net/en/Download and install the appropriate package for your GNU+Linux distribution.
I am using Ubuntu 12.04 LTS on 64bit hardware
MediaInfoLib - v0.7.52 from the Universe repository
Med's Movie Manager version 2.9.1.3
When I look in Help, About, and then on the System Info tab, the MediaInfoLib version: reports Not available.
Can anyone help?
Best regards,
Michael
