For a longer discussion, see Forum. Right now, as a quick fix, I think the following is enough:

When loading a DB, the settings related to "relative paths" are reset. I think they should remain they were set by the user the last time (global setting), or stored in the database - but not reset to "use global paths".

The settings are kept, when I just exit xmm and reload (as expected), but I think they should not be reset on opening a new DB.

And maybe when creating new Databases, the default should be set to "relative to DB" paths.

    Hmm, what I mean:
    - I have two databases that both use "Relative to DB"-folders.
    - I have the first one open with "Folder|Enable relative paths" enabled
    -> everything works
    - I now open the 2nd database
    Ok: the paths are restored as expected (relative only)
    Bug: but the switch "Folder|Enable relative paths" is disabled now
    --> covers are not found.
    I have to enable "Folder|Enable relative paths" again to make xmm find the cover.

    This is sort of the only issue currently. Forget about the "default setting" for now :)

    Thanks,

    Matthias

    Ah, just tried it - seems you fixed it already. I opened another DB with absolute paths in between so I missed this was the reason it switched back.

    I think we can close this thread for now.
