I am not talking about distribution - distribution can be anything you like - from a deb package to a tag.bz2 file.
Or even a portlist entry in MacPorts.

I am mostly talking about how XMLVM tool-chain will "live" in our hard-drive. 
In a few words, I just believe that the monolithic approach should come to an end :)
