Hi Andrew,

you are completely right. I just submitted a change that will change the
processing pipeline to produce .c files with target=c, but .m files with
target=iphone and iphonec.

If you want to you can also specify the extension with the new command line
argument  --c-source-extension= in combination with target=c.

Thanks for pointing this out and let me know if this change addresses your
problem.
