Hi, I think the solution for this is to communicate more on the mailing list, to lay down the technical directions of the project. Right now everyone is developing privately, then throws patches "over the wall". If we discussed the approaches on the mailing list, then each of us would make less duplicated efforts. Of course, when you are under time pressure, to get an application working, you have to go ahead on your private branch. In this case you take the risk that your changes are never going to be merged.
