[xmlvm-users] GPL License

I don't know much about the licenses out there.  Does XMLVM being
under GPL mean I cannot use it to create an application that I charge
for?

The point of my current development project would be to eventually put
it on the App Store (iPhone).  I would be happy to make a donation to
the project however, instead, if this is a possibility?  What are my
options in this regard?
