Since 07-28-2005 it is not possible to receive data
from tv_grab_de_tvtoday.
XMLTV.exe returns:
grabbing: Can't call method "look_down" on an undefined
value at /PerlApp/grab/d
e_tvtoday/tv_grab_de_tvtoday line 459.

I use XMLTV for about 5 months withaout having any
probs until yesterday. Maybe this is error is not a
XMLTV Bug - propably a server problem.

Do you know more about it and how to fix the problem?

Big Thanx,

Sandobar

    hi guys,

tvtoday.de has changed their web page's layout, therefore
the previous grabber version does not work anymore. please
upgrade to the cvs version of xmltv.

since you're using the windows exe, you may want to try the
alpha-exe as published by robert eden
    (http://alpha-exe.xmltv.org/)

    cheers,
    stesie

Could this alpha version be made available to Linux users, too?
    :-)

Linux users don't need an executable. They can just grab
CVS or the nightly snapshot ( http://snapshot.xmltv.org )

Rev. 1.27 (see the output of tv_grab_de_tvtoday --version,
make sure you're really using 1.27 - perhaps you've two
tv_grab_de_tvtoday grabbers in your PATH?) is expected to
work. In case it does not for you, please tell which
channels you've tried to grab (i.e. send the configuration
file) and which arguments you've given to the grabber
    (particularly --offset, --days and --slow)

Which linux version contains the fix?

none of the linux releases contain a working
tv_grab_de_tvtoday revision, you need to either upgrade to a
    current nightly snapshot (available from
http://snapshot.xmltv.org/\) or to the up-to-date cvs
    repository version (available from
    http://sourceforge.net/cvs/?group_id=39046\)

Well, i tested the new alpha version, but i get the message
"No listings available" in samurize. The moment of
downloading the latest schedule seems to me a little bit too
short, but i've no idea, what the reason for the missing tv
    channel output is.

Maybe anyone has the same problem and could help? :)

    Thanks

Please try calling xmltv.exe file directly, in order to make sure,
    there's no problem with samurize.

Maybe you may want to create a new configuration file using the
--configure argument, and test whether that helps you out. In case
it does not, please provide your configuration file here and tell
which further arguments (especially --offset and --days) you've
    passed to tv_grab_de_tvtoday (i.e. xmltv.exe)

I have the same problem. I guess tvtoday changed something
    to their site.

ahh ... looks like the alpha-exe from robert eden
    (http://alpha-exe.xmltv.org/) does the trick.

    Thanx to all

This is a different problem than is discussed in this
thread. If the problems persist, please post a new bug
report. Also include information like the operating system,
the xmltv version (are you using the latest 0.5.41
version?), and command line options you used. And please try
if you can access the reported webpage
    (http://programm.tvtoday.de/) yourself to exclude network
    problems.

Hi I had the same problem (Can't call method "look_down" on
    an undefined
    value at /PerlApp/grab/d
    e_tvtoday/tv_grab_de_tvtoday line 459...)
Now I ve downloaded the new version
    (http://alpha-exe.xmltv.org/), but it doesn't work...
When i try to download listings it takes a very very long
time and then comes the message:
    Output:
no information available for channel mtv2.de at
    /PerlApp/grab/de_tvtoday/tv_grab_de_tvtoday line 461.

    And after a while:

no information available for channel tvnrw.de at
    /PerlApp/grab/de_tvtoday/tv_grab_de_tvtoday line 461.
no information available for channel foxkids.tvtoday.de at
    /PerlApp/grab/de_tvtoday/tv_grab_de_tvtoday line 461.
episode-num element: Use of uninitialized value in pattern
    match (m//) at /PerlApp/XMLTV.pm line 2080.
episode-num element: not writing empty content for
    episode-num at /PerlApp/XMLTV.pm line 2081.
no information available for channel mtv2.de at
    /PerlApp/grab/de_tvtoday/tv_grab_de_tvtoday line 461.
no information available for channel tvnrw.de at
    /PerlApp/grab/de_tvtoday/tv_grab_de_tvtoday line 461.
no information available for channel foxkids.tvtoday.de at
    /PerlApp/grab/de_tvtoday/tv_grab_de_tvtoday line 461.
no information available for channel mtv2.de at
    /PerlApp/grab/de_tvtoday/tv_grab_de_tvtoday line 461.
no information available for channel tvnrw.de at
    /PerlApp/grab/de_tvtoday/tv_grab_de_tvtoday line 461.
no information available for channel foxkids.tvtoday.de at
    /PerlApp/grab/de_tvtoday/tv_grab_de_tvtoday line 461.

And the bar is still at the beginning...

So it seems this is caused by a network/connection problem,
but i never got a network/connection problem with older
    xmltv-version...

TVToday has a problem with getting TVData > 1.12.2005
When i grabbed only 4 days, from now on, it runs perfect.
It seems to be a TVToday problem and not an script problem.

    Ciao
