I am very pleased to announce the release of the third release-candidate of version 1.0 of the XML Hammer application. http://www.xmlhammer.org/ The XML Hammer application is a free and open-source tool that simplifies elementary XML actions like checking for well-formedness, validation, transformation and xpath searches using any JAXP implementation. This release fixes all previously outstanding issues. The bugs fixed include major issues in the startup scripts, confusing 'internal DTD' terminology and closing of output streams. Besides the bugs fixed, this new candidate also adds a native Windows launcher. To download this version please go to: http://www.xmlhammer.org/downloads.html There are currently no known issues, to report an issue however you can report this either directly to me[1], send an e-mail to the mailing-lists[2] or by using the issue tracking system [3]. Kind regards, Edwin Dankert --- [1] eda...@gm... [2] http://www.xmlhammer.org/mail-lists.html [3] http://www.xmlhammer.org/issue-tracking.html |

Category: User Interface >Group: rc-3 >Status: Closed Resolution: Fixed Priority: 9 Private: No Submitted By: Edwin Dankert (edankert) Assigned to: Edwin Dankert (edankert) >Summary: Confusing \\\"Validate using internal DTD\\\" terminology Initial Comment: Remove all terminology describing the validation method to be using an 'internal' DTD. The term "Validate using internal DTD" was used to describe that the DTD was referenced from within the document using a DOCTYPE, instead of by being referenced by the tool externally to the document. However since the W3C XML spec describes both internal and external DTD subsets, this is very confusing. Instead the following validation options are probably less confusing: [1] Checking wellformed-ness, [2] Validate using DTD (internal + external subsets), [3] Validate using xsi:schemaLocation attribute hints, [4] Validate using specified Schema(s) (ignoring hints), [5] Validate using DTD and specified Schema(s), ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Edwin Dankert (edankert) Date: 2008-01-14 21:26 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=452928 Originator: YES Changed all textual information. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=763631&aid=1867771&group_id=145971 |

Category: User Interface Group: rc-2 >Status: Pending Resolution: Fixed Priority: 9 Private: No Submitted By: Edwin Dankert (edankert) Assigned to: Edwin Dankert (edankert) >Summary: Confusing \"Validate using internal DTD\" terminology Initial Comment: Remove all terminology describing the validation method to be using an 'internal' DTD.
