When converting between integers and floating points, XML-DBMS allows truncation of fractional
digits in accordance with the ODBC spec:
1) XML-DBMS allows a loss of precision when promoting integers to
floating point numbers; this is in accordance with the ODBC spec, which states
that when converting any number to a floating point type, the conversion
is legal if the "data is within the range of the data type to which the
number is being converted." For example, you can convert the 32-bit
integer 4294967295 to the single-precision float 4294967E3 without
error.
2) ODBC allows truncation of fractional digits when converting from
floating point to integer. For example, you can convert the single
precision float 1234E-1 to the integer 123 without error.
It should throw a SQLWarning in both of these cases, but doesn't.
