I am interested in volunteering some time in improving this project.  I 
have been involved with the XAPI for about a year.  I managed to 
implement the XAPI as a wrapper to a proprietary database and I have 
also written a SOAP implementation in which the client XAPI 
transparently uses SOAP to communicate with a remote XAPI wrapped in a 
SOAP service.
